Airbrushed over seven and a half years (2016–2024), Hypnopompia is the result of relentless refinement, deep contemplation, and an image that refused to be rushed.
Its title refers to the fleeting state between sleep and wakefulness, where visions surface and reality blurs. Like its name, this work emerged in fragments, revealing itself only when ready.
Roland believes images live their own lives within the artist, unfolding on their own timeline— beyond conscious awareness—before taking on a life of their own in the viewer. Hypnopompia invites that same process of discovery.
A rare and deeply layered piece, Hypnopompia is more than an artwork—it is a collector’s
experience.
As editions sell, the price increases to reflect scarcity, rewarding early collectors and ensuring the value of earlier acquisitions.
